We did abs-o-lute-ly nothing today. Yep, as if we needed a break from it all, we sat around like couch potatoes. Well, minus the couch and the TV. Fine, we played Facebook Scrabble and surfed the internet all day! I’ll pat myself on the back and say that I did more than Jim. I vacuumed. I wiped each slat of the kitchen mini-blind. I fed the cats and scooped the litter box. I did laundry (a given). I made breakfast sandwiches for the next few days. I’m tired again just recapping what I’ve done. That’s right, I’d pat myself on the back but that’s too much work!
About those breakfast sandwiches that I make. This time I omitted the milk. It only saves 8 calories but it’s easier not to dirty a measuring cup. The milk only makes the egg mixture a little fluffier – big deal.
As if doing nothing and the lack of exercise wasn’t enough? We went to dinner with Carl and Tim to Olive Garden. When they suggested it, I was excited. I love Olive Garden. The breadsticks, the salad, and my new favorite there is the Pork Milanese. It’s a new menu item and it’s divine. Next time I treat myself to this extraordinarily fattening food, I will be asking for a to-go box before the meal even hits the table. With the breadsticks and salad, this is way too much. Why don’t they offer a 1 pork chop version? Maybe they have a lunch version I can order for dinner? I’ll look into it. I’m back, I didn’t see a lunch version online.
It’s a short post. It’s all about the food. Move along.
OK, one more item. A photo of Jag.
Even Jag was in sloth-mode.
LOVE the kitty pic! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteI haven't eaten at an Olive Garden in years- they seem to be closing them all down around here. I used to love their soup-salad-breadsticks lunch. We did Italian for dinner last night at a local place. I had chickan picatta... yum!!
Jag is a beautiful creature!!!
