10-11-09 Sunday (Rusty Exchanges)

Jim took apart the washer/dryer and found that the heat is working, but it’s not blowing anywhere.  Tomorrow, he’ll call the parts place to find out about the warranty on the blower fan we replaced in April.

We have a 4 or so day window of time to use a Friday’s free burger coupon.  Today, we both used a coupon.  I had a salad instead of fries so hopefully that counts for something.  Jim took an online survey and got a code, redeemable for free dessert.  So, for lunch, 2 free burgers and 1 free kick-ass brownie sundae for dessert.  $5.00 bill.  Sweet!

One of the screwdrivers Jim used for washer/dryer disassembly was a well rusted Craftsman.  He decided to bring it to Sears and see about them making good on a lifetime guarantee.  The process was so fast and easy, he walked out with his new screwdriver within 2 minutes.  We were expecting to be turned away for mere rust or forms in triplicate to be completed.

Last on the list was a Costco trip.  Look at these steaks.  They’re thick NY strips at $6.79 a pound ($36.00).  We’ll split each steak so we’ll get 4 meals out of this package.

  1. The Brownie Obsession is to die for! I shouldn't tell you, but before the ice cream and the caramel and the pecans, the brownie is a whopping 1190 calories! Add the other goodies and it tops off at about 1700 calories! So hit the gym, fellas, hit the gym hard!

  2. Joanie, your comment sounded familiar. I looked back in the blog and found that I've had this dessert previously. You commented on it stating it had high calories but never divulging that info until now. LOL.
