I helped my mom with some errands today and then she treated me to lunch at The Oasis. I had been craving an Oasis Club. It’s just a sandwich. I know. I had mine on toasted white and mom had hers on untoasted rye. The sandwiches contain swiss, american, lettuce, tomato, bacon, ham, turkey and mayo. A club should be simple yet so many places screw it up. Mom agreed, the Oasis knows how to make a club.
Once I got home, Jim and I went to Meinke and picked up the Jeep. Boy was it heavy. ::snort, snort:: Anyway, $570.00 later for a thermostat, and water pump. That thing has 94,000 miles on it.
Speaking of mileage, Jim calculated that during our RVing trip, he drove a total of 37,000 miles (15K MoHo & 22K Jeep). The 22,000 miles on the Jeep does not count tow behind miles since that does not accrue. How many miles did I drive? My answer: Blue with sparkles.
Dinner was a treat. Publix had NY strip steaks on sale. I threw a couple of those on the grill. Nuked some potatoes which I then slightly mashed spray butter stuff, reduced fat grated parmesan cheese and fresh garlic into it. It was actually very tasty. We also had fresh broccoli. Yum.
That’s all I got!
Garret, you don't drive the RV at all?
ReplyDeleteI drove it in town before we left for this year long trip. Other than that I drove it from Torrey, UT to some other city. Maybe 40 miles is all?
ReplyDeleteWhat more could you want besides potatoes, butter and garlic? I mean, really?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and steak.
