11-19-09 Thursday (Wobbly Sunsets)

I spent a couple of hours keeping my grandmother company while my aunt went to a doctor’s appointment. My grandmother can’t do very much for herself. We watched TV together and in the meantime, Jim went to lunch with his grandmother. We had a nice visit.

Jim and I went to Bunche Beach to watch the sunset this evening. Here’s some photos:

  3. OMG! Loopy Beach Man!!

That is the strangest/oddest/funniest thing, ever! Reminds me of the time we were at our river condo which overlooks the pool and there was a man there who just kept continuously "falling" into the water- head first with arms glued to his side - like a domino. Over and over and over and over. It was so weird and entertaining.

Your photos are so pretty, Garret. You're really getting good at the artistic shots. The shell looked like a bony foot to me, but what do I know. Love how pretty and white the gulf coast beaches are. Our beaches are pretty, but in Ponte Vedra the sand is mostly coquina (crushed shells). We do get lots of sharks teeth tho. The silhouette of you and Jim is terrific. As are the customary goofy faces. Love you guys.

PS: Chef Green mentioned me BY NAME in his post today. Top THAT!

  6. Joanie: Chef Green. Alix started following his blog first. Beware, it can sometimes be adult, gay material. http://sauce-on-the-side.blogspot.com/

  7. If you like his blog be sure to tell him Alix and Garret sent ya. Although sometimes adult, he write beautifully... often poetically.

  8. Joanie - Just tell Chef Green ALIX sent you. Once again, Garret is trying to ride my coattails and take credit for my awesome discovery.

  9. Alix, you are SUCH a bitch. I love your loose-skin-pot(both mortgage payments worth)-banging-balding-skinny-ass-blogger-self.

Joanie, the walls or uhhh, blogs have ears. We'll talk badly about Alix privately.

  10. Your comment section is as entertaining as the blog. I usually check back a couple of times a day to see what more has been added. You should frame the silhoutte photo, really stunning.

  11. Catsy: You really like that photo? I was really torn about it. At first I thought it was cool, then I decided I should delete it. I think everyone likes it so well cause ya can't see our faces. :-)

"Your comment section is as entertaining as the blog. I usually check back a couple of times a day to see what more has been added."

Thanks. You can always comment and then subscribe (new comments get emailed to you) to the comments. I do that on almost every blog I follow. If you don't have anything to say but want to subscribe, just comment "delete" and I'll reject the comment but you'll still get the comment feed. Thanks for commenting though!

  13. Catsy was talking about MY fabulous provocative comments, Garret. Followed me over from Casa Hice - NOT vice versa.

Who's the "Thieving Gypsy" now brotha?

  14. That's OK. I am a gypsy of sorts. It doesn't matter who came from where. Everyone likes me better.

  15. Yeah, in a I so feel sorry for Garret's inferiority to Alix kind of way. But you can have that, I suppose. You need edification and reassurance more than me.
