image Jim made a good pot of chili today.  It was fitting for our freezing cold weather of 63 degrees here in Fort Myers, Florida.  He makes it in the crockpot and it’s always yummy.  5 varieties of canned beans (whatever you want), can of Italian seasoned diced tomatoes, chili seasoning packet, ground beef (we used veggie crumbles), and a can of corn.  We slow cook it for 8 hours.  When we dished it out, we topped it with some shredded cheese (we used fat free) and I add hot sauce to mine.  It’s yummy.

During an evening dog walk we spotted a snake.  It was orange and brown; pretty colors.  It was about 2-3 feet long and slender.  I picked it up and tossed it off the road so it wouldn’t get smooshed.  I don’t mind snakes as long as it’s not poisonous of course.  We didn’t think it was but I was still careful in handling it.  It was dark out (we had a flashlight) and I didn’t have my camera with me.  Damn.

We watched GI Joe.  We love Netflix.  I wish our connection speed was fast enough for better quality online movie viewing.  Since we use a Verizon laptop air card thingy for internet, it’s no where as good as cable or DSL.

  1. I just joined your fan club, although I've been reading you for some time. That's my cat "Snickers" photo, the ruler of our house in South Dakota.
We love Netflix, too, and just received "Up".

  2. Hi Cathy! Welcome! I have tons on my Netflix list. I put them on the list while they're still in the movies. :-) It's the only way I'd remember whether it "looked good" or not.

  3. Why does that Indian snake charmer have the snake's ass in his mouth? And you call ME weird.

  4. Only Alix would observe the wrong end of the snake that closely.

I'm also a Netflix addict - and they have so many TV episodes and movies you can watch instantly!!

    Mmmm, chili sounds good....

  6. But Jason, it was purdy. Doesn't that count for something?

  7. Not really, Garret. Snake handling of any kind, aside from the trouser-serpent, is grounds for dismissal from the homounion. Get 'ta packin'.
