Aside from it being my mom’s last full day here, I’m readying the RV with supplies for this weekend’s Asheville trip. I hope the lists I’ve had going for the past 3 months were accurate. I had a “to buy” list and a “RV Vacation Checklist”. The latter will be a list I will print anytime we take a trip in the MoHo. Things like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc are duplicated at the RV so we don’t need to bring them for each trip. We’ll just need to pack clothes, perishables, camera, my CPAP, etc.
I’m so excited about this trip. I can’t really pinpoint the reason. I think I miss fulltime RVing as a whole. Why don’t we just do it then? Well, we need to work and we weren’t able to secure traveling or work from home jobs. Besides, Jim was home sick and tired of living in close quarters. Me? I loved it. I loved being gypsies.
CVS was running a 12 cent per 4X6 photo special. My mom wanted some photos of me (imagine that) so we went through a bunch of photos from our RVing adventures and selected a bunch to print along with photos from her visit here. We got 75 printed for under $10. I remember when have a roll of film developed was pricey.
During mom’s nap, I took a bunch of supplies over to the MoHo, ran the generator, water heater and fridge. I put away some supplies and then shut everything down except for the fridge. Jim will utilize the fridge tomorrow.
For dinner, we went to Olive Garden per Mom’s request. We all wanted to try that new “Five Cheese Crespelle with Chicken”. The 3 of us enjoyed it.
Tomorrow, it’s off to Raleigh with Mom and then to Asheville with Jim.
The A/C project was a success! We worked on making it look better. The RV was much more comfortable. In the evening, Jim and I have a farewell meal with a friend. Jim and I partake in food we’ve never eaten before. Check it out here. |
Enjoy your trip and I hope your mom has a safe flight home!
