Back on the 1st of the month I mentioned the Quest Uninsured Patient Program, called QuestCares. Yesterday we stopped off at a Quest office and found that they are not participants in the program. They added that there isn’t one in Arizona. Jim called this morning and the next closest is Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ugh. We didn’t realize it was a limited program. I can’t or at least shouldn’t complain about a program that saves people money. I got the doctor to extend my prescription for at least 1 more refill.
While traveling we try to pick up tourist brochures from lobbies of restaurants, visitor’s centers, and the like. Jim found a brochure for Amazing Jakes. The website’s description:
Amazing Jake's is the first facility of its kind to open in the Phoenix area. Amazing Jake's is over 90,000 square feet of food and fun. We offer an all-indoor facility with the best buffet in town and the perfect location for your Birthday Parties, Group Events, Corporate Outings, or to spend some quality time with family and friends!
Amazing Jake's features an Amazing All-U-Can-Eat Buffet with delicious Pizzas, Pastas, Soups, a Potato and Salad Bar with Unlimited Beverages and Desserts.
The Fun Factory includes over 150 Interactive Redemption and Video Games along with the biggest and best prize counter in town. Amazing Jake's also contains an Indoor Go-Kart track, a Glow Bowling Alley, Bumper Cars, a Mini Coaster and 18 Holes of Miniature Golf. We offer four kiddie rides including the Rio Grande Train, Tea Cups, a Frog Hopper as well as a Carousel.
We had fun. For $16.00 each, we had unlimited everything for the 5 hours we spent there. We didn’t get to bowl; I was tired. I did enjoy the Laser Tag. We did that twice.
