3-9-10 Tuesday (Getting To The Root Of The Problem)

Another whirlwind day.  Lots to do.  I knocked out a few things from my list.  I think the most time consuming was job hunting.  A position opened within the city of Charlotte, so I applied.  I then went to Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com and thanks to Deanna, indeed.com.

Planing 3 I went to Esthetic Dental and saw Dr. Kyle W. Taylor for my initial exam/consultation.  The office is beautiful.  Even the bathroom was gorgeous.  I felt like I was in a hotel.  The visit went well but unfortunately, I’ll need some “work”.  I’ve never had good teeth so at every annual exam, I’ve come to expect the worst.  This time was no different.  For the 3rd time in my life, I’ll need “root planing”.  I’ll need a couple of fillings redone as well.

Here’s photos of their office:

I brush for 2 minutes, 2-3 times a day and still have problems.  Jim?  He’s never had a cavity in all his life.  Just exams and cleanings.  One time a dentist told him he had a cavity, he went somewhere else for a second opinion.  He didn’t have a cavity.

The dentist’s office is located a block away from Trader Joe’s.  I get that damn Gru-whatever cheese.  Only $5!  A bargain.  While I was buying the cheese, Alix was apparently commenting that Swiss cheese would have been a good substitute.

I also reinstalled the hot tub cover lifter all by myself!

As you will remember, my friend Jodi was here last week.  When I gave her the RV tour she started recording.  I decided to get campy and so we created this video tour.  Here it is:

Here’s a couple of photos Jodi had that I liked:

*By the way, I posted 2 entries today.  A 3-8-10 and this one for 3-9-10.

  1. I've had the personal tour of the RV. Twice actually. I'm special. And I also told you that although you can substitute Swiss for Gruyere you really shouldn't if you can caught up the money for the good stuff.

Your dentist's office is like a mansion. Pretty high overhead. Have you seen their price list? You can drive down to Jax and Bob The Dentist will do your dental work much cheaper. Save you a bundle. Then we can all go back to Lap Nopalera and drink Margaritas and watch you dribble while your Lidocaine wears off. Good times!

  2. Sure Alix, now that Chef says no to Swiss as a substitution, now you change your tune. Bitch.

Funny, I thought about Bob the Dentist while I waited. THEN I thought of Bob the Rapist. Then I chuckled.

Mmmmmmmm Lap Nopalera....... Did I mention mmmmmmmmm?

  3. Guyere cheese is actually what the swiss put on their french onion soup! I like it but Michelle thinks it smells like puke! My favorite restaurant in the whole world is the Swiss Hutte located on the upstate NY/MA border. They serve french onion soup with Guyere cheese and it is delish!!

  4. Michelle is strange. :-) Jim and I used to love French Onion soup at this little place in Fort Myers. It was the best we had ever had. Mmmmmm.

  5. That office looks amazing!
I go to the dentist this Saturday for step 3/3 of my first (and hopefully last) root canal.

You haven't been to New Jersey?! You're missing out on a lot!!!! ... I guess.

  6. I was born in NY and lived there for 19 years. Naturally, I've been to NJ too. What's that smell?

  7. Cheffie nixed the Swiss? Damn bitch. Who the hell does he think she is? What did he recommend?

I'm not calling him a liar or anything, but 4 out of 5 Food Network chefs agree... you can sub Swiss for Gruyere.

LOL. I'm probably in trouble now.
