Another full day of sight seeing has come to a close. Here's the recap:

Birch Aquarium at Scripps - This isn't a large aquarium and definitely not the best I've been to but I did enjoy it. I loved seeing the exotic fish that I've never seen before. Sure, they had the usual water faring creatures, but the exotic stuff made up for that.

The Club: Does anyone remember this? The thing locked onto the steering wheel to deter theft. There in the aquarium parking lot was a piece of shit car, utilizing a Club or a knockoff of one. People, enough with The Club!

Balboa Park: This place is huge. It's not enough to say "I've been to Balboa Park". Balboa Park is like it's own city or something. It's even home to the San Diego Zoo. To quote their webpage - "the nation's largest urban cultural park. Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens and the San Diego Zoo, the Park has an ever-changing calendar of museum exhibitions, plays, musicals, concerts, and classes—all in the beautiful and timeless setting of this must-see San Diego attraction."

Japanese Friendship Garden: A pretty small garden in my opinion. Balboa Park waives admission to some places on certain days. This garden was free today, and it's a good thing, I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it. It wasn't worth it. I did get to snap a lot of photos and video of a humming bird. Lately I've spotted so many. In San Leandro, at the San Diego Zoo up in a tree and then today at this garden up in a tree. I love these critters. While I do enjoy them, I don't want humming bird thingies, so don't think about it.We walked around many places within Balboa. I took many photos but some of them, I can't identify. There was too much to remember! I did take a lot of photos of flowers. I love the close-up shots of these gorgeous plants/flowers.

The High Dive: Nope, not a wild jump off a board, but rather a restaurant. I've mentioned the friends that were in the same RV park as us previously.... well we all went for dinner. It's a Tuesday standing invitation of sorts. Tedd & Steve (I'm not sure what's up with the extra "d"), Ken of Ken & Marc (Marc resides in Canada, eh), and Scott who has 2 Italian Greyhounds (Molly & Meg). We had a nice time and I wish we were staying longer to hang out more. The cool thing though is Tedd & Steve live in an RV here, work here, but have a primary residence (stick home) in Palm Springs which is our next destination. We'll get to see them again. Hopefully they won't try to change their phone numbers or anything like that.

Old Town: It's a shopping and entertainment district. Very touristy, Mexican ware type stuff. We walked around a bit, had some Cold Stone ice cream, and walked around some more to negate the calorie intake. I don't think it worked.

Jim says, "You're number one."

After a long day, we went to Ralph's (grocery store chain) for some odds and ends. I spotted this gem of a product in the case. Tofurky. #1 - Ewww. #2 - Ewww. #3 What the fuck and oh, ewwwwww. Yeah, yeah, maybe it tastes good. And maybe monkeys will fly out my ass.
