3-31-10 Wednesday (Almond Udders)

The weather today was pretty much perfection.  I think it stayed 74-79 all day.  I took the opportunity to spray paint the remaining RV handles.  Some time next week I’ll go install them and then see what I can do with the window coverings.  I’m thinking mini blinds and a valance might be the most economical way to update 8 windows.

While waiting for the handles to “cure”, I whipped up another batch of Deviled Eggs.  It went smoothly.  Fortunately, no humorous mishaps to blog about.

With my egg supply low and in need of pico de gallo (for guacamole later this week), I went shopping at Bloom.  That’s the place where I love to pay extra money so that I can self scan items.  I was frugal with what I bought.  I picked up some Vanilla Almond Milk that Alix recently blogged about.  I can’t have it because it’s got sugar but I thought Jim might like it.  A bonus was that it had a $1 coupon attached and it happened to be double coupon day.  $2.99 - $2 off!  Woo-hoo!  I didn’t even plan that.  At 99 cents if Jim likes it, I’ll pick up more.

Jodi comes tomorrow.  I’ve got scrub floors… or something like that.

DIH - Wall We departed Long Beach/LA and arrived in San Luis Obispo.  I included a lot of photos along with some rants and raves.  It was a 15 comment day from readers with mostly motorcycle safety on their minds.  Click here to read all about the day.

  1. Darn! The milk has sugar! I can't have any either.

Well, I'm off to do laundry in my very own washer and dryer! God, I'm so easily satisfied.

  5. That's weird. I have tried both Silk and Almond Breeze Vanilla Almond Milk. Both are 90 calories per 8 ounce serving. I saw Almond Breeze advertised at 60 calories, but when I got it home, it was the same.

    I didn't see unsweetened. Maybe it's gross?

Did Jim like it, or do I owe you some money.

Say 'ello to Jodi for me. I like that chica.

  6. Jodi says hi. Jim likes the almond milk in his cereal. I bought more at 99 cents. I haven't gotten Jodi to try it yet.

  7. The unsweetened kind isn't nearly as delicious plain, but is yummy w/ cereal. :)

  8. I don't like deviled eggs, but I make them from time to time for the people who do. I've found the easiest way to fill them is put the yolk mixture in a zip lock bag and cut one corner off and squeeze. I was going to pass that tip on to you earlier but I forgot. I also frost cupcakes the same way. Love you guys.
