4-17-10 Saturday (Camping In Town)

We were up this morning.  Things to do.  On the agenda for today: Get the RV to a local campground so we can unwinterize it and do some spring cleaning.  We took it out of storage and drove to Ryan’s Buffet first.  Isn’t breakfast important?  I didn’t eat much.  I don’t like it that much for breakfast since the salad bar isn’t open.

We got the RV to the campground, and started all sorts of projects.   Jim worked on the steps that broke back in December.  I focused on getting all the antifreeze out of the water system, and replacing it with bleach water to sanitize. Thanks to Wayne for good mixture advice.  We left the solution in the tank and lines over night.  I made the bed, change some light bulbs, vacuumed.  We scrubbed, repaired, organized, wiped, cleaned, etc.

The water heater pilot wouldn’t stay lit.  It’s happened before where it’s gotten wet and then become stubborn.  Well, eventually it totally died, the pilot light switch wouldn’t even light up anymore.  Jim not only remembered that was what happened back in August of 2008 when the thermal cutoff failed but also that it was he bought a 2 pack and knew where the remaining part was!

Later Rick and Jonathan invited us for dinner.  We were severely behind schedule with our MoHo chores but decided some fun would be welcomed.  We dashed home to shower and then out the door again to the boy’s house.  Cheese and pepperoni as an appetizer.  Chicken, yellow squash and asparagus all on the grill.  Red wine a-flowin’.   Atkins friendly – thanks boys!  Unfortunately we had to call it a night.  We had so much more to do at the RV.

Here’s some photos.  Keep in mind that I was drunk and it was dark outside.

DIH- Sand Today I worked on getting the RV clean in anticipation of Ann and Morgan’s visit.  My Mom was admitted to the hospital for the umpteenth time.  With our new found friends Joe & Gary, we went to the Rio for a show then out for Mexican and later hung out in their million dollar plus motorhome.

  2. WIENER DOG!!!

OMG, I adore his name... Secret Agent. How funny is that? He looks like a young Augie!

I like your friends Gar, and I'm so glad you have met some cool folk up thar in North Carolina. Makes me miss you, but so happy you're in good hands.

I laughed out loud at the "Keep in mind that I was drunk and it was dark outside" comment.

  3. Secret agent is a freakin' brilliant name for a dog! Especially that little bitty thing!

Love good times hanging out like that.
