7-23-09 Thursday (Peekaboo)

imageimage It all starts with food, doesn’t it?  Well, today it did.   We made our grocery list, our menu, and then proceeded to Waffle House per Jim’s request.  Apparently he’s been craving a waffle.  I had my usual eggs and hashbrowns, scattered, covered, smothered.  I’m sure you could care less how I like my hashbrowns but for those of us who are Waffle House Hashbrown Fans love to show our high degree of intelligence by reciting our order without even looking at a menu.  Right Alix?  What skill, for sure.

We shopped Walmart and bought enough to get by while in Georgia.  Next week, we’ll be in Florida with our first visit to St. Augustine where our beautiful host, Alixandra (Alix) Hice will show us a spectacular time!

Of course we made it back to the campground for rain.  Argh!  How can I inspect the pool and hot tub in conditions such as these?

image The sun peeked out so we rushed over to the pool.  The sun was gone.  We were going to swim anyway but it felt too cold.  It was awesomely clean though!  We were told by 2 people that they totally drained it, pressure washed it and refilled.  Yeah, I’m bitching it’s too cold but that’s because it’s only like 80 degrees out.  We spent about 15 minutes in the hot tub and then returned home.  No sooner than settling back at the laptop, the sun came out again.  I ain’t playin’ with it no more.

  1. It's been years since I've had Waffle House and it is one of those things that I miss the most... I couldn't have gotten through college without Waffle House and its 24 hour supply of coffee, egg sandwiches, hash browns, and grits.

  2. Why do I always feel as though I've been featured on national tv when you mention me in your blog? It's such a freaking thrill. Then I remember it's just Garret and I calm down.

Thanks just the same. (You know I love you.)

  3. I am a Waffle House virgin. I think I need to rectify that
