7-18-09 Saturday (Well Done)

image It was a fairly busy pool day.  Someone suggested getting volleyball going in the pool.  Myself and some other guy looked for the required pieces to assemble the game.  The net, ball, posts, and players.  This is the perfect pool for volleyball because the center of the pool is 5 feet deep and either side of the center is 3 feet.  Genius!  I love this because no one is stuck in the deep end and trying to tread water, never mind play the game.  I played every game until the pool area started thinning out for the dinner hour.

image I’m feeling very injured.  Despite the sunscreen I put on (maybe I should have reapplied more often), I still managed to burn my shoulders.  My left hand that has the pinch and missing skin is a little sore, and my right hand is suffering from limp wristedness.  I hit the ball in a painful way one too many times and now my wrist hurts.  Oh and my ankles hurt from standing in the pool so much.  <end whine>

image After dinner, I felt the sun had gotten the best of me and took a nap.  I just felt exhausted.  I assure you, it took all I had to get out of bed at 9pm and NOT sleep the entire night away.  After all, it IS a Saturday night.  I think I started trying to get out of bed at 8:30pm.  That’s when I had the 398 little naps that each had a dream.  Ever get those?  Falling back asleep for 2 minutes yields a dream.  I hate that.

I just yawned and my forehead hurts.  It’s burnt too I guess.  Damn!

  1. So this really has nothing to do with this post. Aside from your limp wristed comment...

I just watched Milk. You've probably seen my Facebook status already.

But if you and Jim want to come out to me in order to give strength to the movement against Prop 8... I'm here for you, man.

    See what friends are for?

  2. I seriously doubt your limp wrist is from the volleyball, but what do I know(Grin). And sunburn...sucks!

  4. Exactly what is that on the plate? A cow patty?

I also enjoyed your "limp-wristed" comment. You're a hoot, Garret.
