I’ve refrained from sharing everyday’s workout with you. I will tell you that:
1- We’re on our 8th day straight of cardio.
2- We’ve been doing 45 minutes for several days.
3- Today we started some weight training.
I’ve also taken a short video of the exercise room/gym that we have.
Not bad, huh?
Laundry has become much more tedious. That damn washer is constantly going. I’m glad we don’t pay for water or electric. With working out everyday, we have a lot of extra clothes and towels. Towels. I miss having the gym provide them, and clean them.
It wouldn’t be that bad if I could just pull a Ronco “set it and forget it” action. On the super spin, sometimes it trips the breaker. Sometimes 2 hours dry time (max setting) isn’t enough. I run it on the half heat cycle because it won’t cause the A/C unit compressors to shut down; I think it takes just as long on full heat anyway.
This afternoon we met Grandma for lunch at TGI Friday’s. Jim and I had that 1590 calorie Cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger again. I never realized how many calories that sucker had. I had to Google that info since Friday’s doesn’t share nutritional info. Instead of fries, I had a side salad. I reminded Jim of that several times today. By the way, click here to visit Men’s Health “Eat This Not That”. It lists the worst foods for 2009 and suggests alternative choices. The great thing is they don’t shove salads in your face. They recommend similar items.
Later we over to Grandma’s for dinner. Stuffed tilapia and fresh broccoli. The 3 of us played Phase 10. Oh, and I won!
Above: Phase 10; a run of 8.
I *heart* Phase 10.
ReplyDeleteI thought all restaurants were required to provide nutritional info??
You could hang a laundry line and air dry towels and such... then just fluff in the dryer.
Good job on the exercise! I think I'm finally getting back to the gym today...
Your video didn't work for me. YouTube sent an error message that said: This video is a duplicate of a previously uploaded video," whatever that means.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm sure the weight room was fascinating.
Stuffed tilapia and fresh broccoli - YES!
Cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger - ARE YOU MAD?
{shoving salad in your face}
Thanks for the Men's health link!
ReplyDelete@Liz: Maybe restaurants have to have it available IN the restaurant but not on the web.
ReplyDelete@Alix: It was soooooo good; hell yeah I'm mad. I fixed the video, thanks for the heads up.
@Wayne: I love how they tear apart the high calorie foods.
Nope. Fridays doesn't provide that info at their restuarants either. We're rebellious like that.
ReplyDelete1590 calories, huh? Try the Brownie Obsession... 1190 calories BEFORE we add the ice cream, caramel and pecans! (I actually went into the freezer one time and checked the box for that info!)
