We actually got up early, and on the road by 10:30am. We’ve driven over 4 hours today to get to our new home – Oasis RV Resort in Amarillo, Texas. It’s only $20 a day, free laundry, HUGE sites, buy 2 days get the 3rd free, nice clubhouse, and the list goes on and on. I’ll get some photos of the facilities later in the week. This place is awesome and it’s extremely affordable!
With dinner time approaching, we threw a lasagna in the oven and per Jim’s wishes, we went to the fitness room. It’s nothing spectacular, 2 stationary bikes and an elliptical machine. It’s definitely better than nothing. Jim took the elliptical and I took the bicycle. After 15 minutes, I was done. I definitely can’t do as well as we used to when we were working out regularly. We went to the adult hot tub which was very nice. Yes, this park has a pool, and 2 hot tubs. Pretty nifty, eh? We rinsed off in the private bathroom/shower rooms. Very nice. The water didn’t have the pressure nor the heat that we had hoped for. Oh well.
Jim firmed up plans with his dad, Terry to meet us in New Orleans. He’s got all of his travel arrangements made, and I’m sure we’ll have a good time. We’ll just be playing with the itinerary a lot to shorten or lengthen stays in accordance with how fun a city is and in relation to being in New Orleans in the first part of July. The was a long sentence. Go ahead and read it again. I’ve even highlighted it for you. I’ll wait. But not for too long.
If you guys are into kitschy stuff (as it appears that you are) you need to come to Branson for a visit. The Titanic museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not and other hokey stuff awaits. We've been fulltiming here for months now and absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteI love touristy kitschy stuff! We saw Ripley's a few years ago in NY I think it was.
