08-31-08 Sunday (Anyone got a map?)

A very late night = a very slow start to the next day. Simple math. We missed the much anticipated and popular waffle breakfast. We’ve heard they are delicious. We had to resort to making our own. Oh, well, as Frank Beers used to say, “That will happen sometimes.”

Jim worked on rerouting our trip. We were discussing our route with some many people yesterday during the usual, “So, where are you headed?” questions. A few had commented, “Wow, you’re zig-zagging a lot.” We didn’t catch on to what they meant until later someone mentioned it again and we discovered Timberfell Lodge in TN is located in GREENEVILLE and that Mapquest shows a GREENVILLE. I researched it to see where we went wrong and the government webpages don’t show a Greenville county or city, just a Greeneville city. Perhaps the wrong one is more of a neighborhood name that it’s picking up on? Either way, Mapquest just about screwed us. Well, now we’re booked to stay at a non-themed campground very close to Nashville and Jim has bought tickets to the Grand Ole Opry to see Loretta Lynn. I hate country music but I’ll sacrifice. I’ll just bitch a lot.

Off to the pool we went. Jim sat in the shade and dipped in the pool while I stayed in the pool just about the entire time. Shortly before the potluck, we returned to the coach and retrieved spinach dip. At the potluck, I took a little of everything, and of course was stuffed. Feeling sleepy, we returned to the coach again and took a 30 minute nap, showered and returned for karaoke and the hard hat competition judging. The rest of the evening was hanging out with Al & John while mingling with others.
